LTL

Less than truckload ranges from 1-6 pallets and under 20,000 LBS. LTL ships with other freight to utilize trailer space and save money.

Temp-Controlled

Shipments that need to be kept at a specific temperature or a temperature range.

Expedited

Shipments that need to move faster than standard shipping requirements.

Partial Truckload

Shipments that are larger than a LTL shipment, but are smaller than truckload quantities. This shares a trailer space with others to be a more economical choice than shipping as a truckload.

Flatbed

Transportation method of shipping cargo that does not need to be enclosed in a trailer.

Asset-Based Trucking

Five Star Logistics is partnered with St. Charles Trucking to provide asset-based trucking services.  St. Charles Trucking specializes in dry food ingredients. They use 53’ dry vans.

Truckload

Shipments that need to use the entire space of the trailer.

Intermodal

Intermodal shipping utilizes more than one mode of transportation and utilizes trucks, trains, and/or ships as a cost-effective way of shipping your product.
